Care – Attention, Nursing, and Comprehensive Support
Care — this is what patients with colorectal diseases require at the highest level. Colorectal disorders are among the most common causes of medical complaints. From acute or recurrent hospitalizations, operations and reoperations, follow-up therapies such as radiation and chemotherapy, nutritional challenges and adjustments, psychological strain, bowel management strategies, continence issues, to care related to stoma management — the requirements are extensive.
Last year, we introduced a new symposium to bring these diverse needs together under one roof and to involve all relevant professional disciplines. Despite short notice, the auditorium was fully booked and the feedback was overwhelming.
As part of the 19th European Colorectal Congress, one of the largest congresses in colorectal surgery, we aim to build on last year’s success and expand the Care Symposium to two full days.
This year’s symposium will again focus on all aspects of caring for patients with colorectal diseases and the consequences of necessary interventions and treatments — with the goal of ensuring successful therapy and comprehensive patient support.
Topics include surgical approaches in the operating room, nutritional management, stoma therapy, wound management, physiotherapy, psychological support, and more.
Education Village:
Opportunities for team training sessions and hands-on workshops will again be offered over several days in the Education Village. New products will be introduced and participants can learn their precise application in practical sessions. Specific offerings, particularly for operating room nursing staff, will be announced soon.
The large industry exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to explore the latest technologies and exchange ideas with industry partners.
